Please note that the group is now meeting in the Church itself, not the Church Hall from 1st September!
This is a friendly class aimed at anyone just wanting to do some gentle stretches and balance exercises either seated or standing, nothing too taxing and certainly not on the floor. Working to your own capabilities with directions in the company of others.
We will start with a half hour's exercise, until we get used to it and then have a cuppa afterwards. You just need to come along wearing loose clothing and willingness to have a go.
The image shows a sample of some of the exercises we do first to warm up and stretch our muscles. We then go onto a bit of cardio work to get our heart going a bit. This can be done sitting down (as I do!) or standing up. After that a cool down and then we do some of the all important balance exercises which are so vital to improving our balance and preventing falls.
A bit of socialising and a welcome cuppa follows.
There is a small charge to cover the cost of the venue.
