Qi Gong (Chi Gong) is a gentle system of co-ordinated body posture, breathing and movement. It helps to create strength and flexibility and is good for balance, body and mind. One of our u3a members is a qualified Qi Gong teacher.

No equipment is needed, the exercises are carried out from a standing position, but it is possible to do some of them sitting down if standing proves difficult. We are encouraged to stop if any particular exercise causes pain or discomfort. No exercise lasts more than 3 minutes, and we do "warming up" exercises before we start.

We limit the size of the group so that members may be monitored to ensure the exercises are done correctly. We are unable to accept new members at the present time.

For further information or to add your name to our waiting list, please contact the Group Co-ordinator.
