The Table Tennis Group has been running since 2013, when a new member, who also happened to be a qualified coach, offered to help get things started. Since then, the group has grown from strength to strength.
We play at Chesterton Community Centre, a modern, light and airy venue with space for four table tennis tables. Because numbers vary from week to week, we mainly play doubles, using a simple sitting-out rota on busier days to make sure everyone gets a fair chance to play. We keep moving throughout each session, whether warming up or playing games, as there’s no better way to improve than by playing with some of the stronger players.

Sessions take place every Thursday morning throughout the year, with the occasional Monday morning if the hall is needed for other activities, proof of just how keen the group is to play!
If you’ve ever thought about giving table tennis a try, or if you played in the past (even a long time ago), it’s well worth getting in touch. We’re a very friendly group and, most importantly, we have a lot of fun.
If you’re interested, please contact Kate via the Group Co-ordinator — we’d love to hear from you.
