To join the Improvers French group you will need to be able to hold a short conversation but may need help with verb tenses and some grammar rules. The sessions place the emphasis on French conversation, but comprise a diverse range of activities including reading magazine articles, listening to French songs, grammar updates, and other exercises. We are still working from "Living French", we are also reading short plays, listening to French singers / songs or playing games like Loto (to improve number knowledge), Scrabble or Boggle for vocabulary.

The French Improvers Group is making good progress with a fair amount of conversation now. I know that some members would like to progress to read French novels / literature. Whilst they are not quite ready for that yet, the aim is to improve both reading and conversational skills.
