We are a friendly group trying to keep our German language skills alive however rusty or otherwise they may be. It is quite a sociable event, and we chat about anything and everything including holidays, visits to places, books we have read, news, and so on. The proceedings are conducted almost exclusively in German, and it is therefore not possible to accommodate complete beginners. We do, however, help each other with words we may not have learnt or have forgotten.
