Murder Mystery Book Group

Status:Active, full but can join waiting list
When: on Wednesday afternoons 2:00 PM-3:30 PM
4th Wednesday of the month
Venue: Members' homes

The Murder Mystery Book Group meets once a month to discuss books chosen by the group members.

We have chosen the Murder Mystery genre, as it gives plenty of choice of author and time and place settings. We have read a wide variety of books that span the centuries, one was set in Elizabethan England, and another one was set in 2058 New York but each time the detective has to find out whodunnit.

Each meeting is led by the person who chose the book, which allows them the opportunity to explain their feelings and thoughts about the book.

Reading is a solitary activity, but when a book has moved or stimulated you it’s natural to want to discuss it with someone else. We hope this group helps to give others this opportunity.

At the moment we are meeting in a member’s home with tea, coffee and a biscuit, but it could be managed over Zoom if necessary.

If you would like more information, please contact Mary Herbert (details in the Bicester u3a programme card), or the Group Co-ordinator.
