Stitchcraft covers, for example, knitting, crochet, quilting, tapestry and other similar crafts.
The group is open to anyone.
Members work on their own projects alongside others, discuss patterns, designs, maybe share patterns, and help the less experienced members where possible. Members bring their own projects and materials.
Pauline provides tea or coffee and biscuits. There is a small charge for refreshments that will be donated to charity.
Stitchcraft materials are not provided.
No experience is needed. Just come and relax for two hours with a cup of tea and a chat. The idea is to get like-minded people together, the experienced members helping those that would like to learn.
The group leader says: ”I have always found knitting, crochet and tapestry very therapeutic at times of stress and a great way to fill a rainy afternoon. Those kinds of crafts have been a lifelong interest”.
It is held in the village of Hethe, so own transport is needed. There is plenty of parking. Hethe is not on a bus route (as of July 2024). Members could choose to arrange lifts between them.
There are downstairs facilities.
